Andrew C. McCarthy, a former chief assistant U.S. attorney who led the 1995 terrorism prosecution against Sheik Omar Abdel Rahman and eleven others, is not impressed with the 9/11 commission’s staff reports. Certainly not a surprise given the vast institutional bias that is crippling our efforts to get to the bottom of this mess. While Tenet may indeed believe that Iraq and Al Queda had links, most of the people below him were busy scurrying about protecting their old set of beliefs, that States no longer sponsored terrorism.
