Self righteous whiners who believe that not only can they demand to be protected by their betters but that they have the right to set the terms under which the protection will be provided, aggravate me.
You are good at getting your back all up when someone calls you on your nonsense but you still cannot explain why you think you have the right to demand that someone risking their life to protect you has to follow your rules formulated from your couch sitting on your ass. You are NOT there, you do not know what they face, to believe that you have the right to set the terms of their providing your protection is the height of arrogance and pomposity.
And building up strawmen doesn’t work with me. Seen that been there…destroyed that. I never said that torture is ok, I said that letting the military handle it is the proper way to deal with it. They are the ones who understand the issues, they have been there done that.
My beef with you isn’t that you are against torture or killing innocents, my beef with you is your indignation and your stomping your diddle little foot as if others in the military are NOT themselves indignant when innocents are murdered. They have the right to defend their honor, you havent the right to demean them or to judge them.
Furthermore your naive belief that this sort of thing is not done by the United States is laughable. War is mass murder, war is hell, war is everything you hate, nothing about war is good, except winning. We must win. This isnt some abstract debating club where embarrassment is the only price to be paid for losing. Our young men and women are fighting the meanest craziest bastards we have ever faced…and I say let them kill them however they see fit. And if they break the rules we have set then the military will deal with it.
That we have fine young men and women who are willing to put up with the horrors of it all to protect me and my family and yours means to me that I will absolutely bear any burden to protect them from self righteous whiners. They are the ones putting steel to flesh to end the Jihadists desire to rape, pillage and destroy my village, not you. They are the ones who will live with the nightmares of friends killed, maimed and all the rest of the horrors of the war against the only enemy ever able to murder 3,000 of us in our largest cites and in the center of our military headquarters. And the only enemy ever to declare that murdering millions more of our women and children is their goal.
Certainly I will never believe that I have the right to sit in judgement of anything they do on the battlefield…except lose. People like you strike me as people who believe that any burden you put on our military can be borne and we will still win, considering our enemy that is naive.
