Sissy is feeling optimistic about this new found backbone that both Bush and Blair seem to have discovered after more of us have died for their refusal to get on with winning. But sadly I cannot disagree with her more strongly. False hopes are what I believe lead others to see this new found strength in the backs of leaders who use language not to threaten others but to moderate us. They talk tough so they won’t have to act tough.
For instance just this morning we discovered that Iran is the country sending arms to murder our soldiers and marines. This is on top of the 241 that Iran and Syria 0 had a direct hand in murdering back in the day of that other supposed tough guy President Reagan. Had this happened on Truman’s watch, Iran would be a large smoking hole in the ground. Syria continues to encourage and allow all sorts of people to go into Iraq and murder our soldiers and marines. That sort of crap would have happened during Roosevelt’s watch and Patton would be tearing them a new asshole. Halsey would have been dancing all over their ports and their cities would be getting firebombed by Le May. Are we at war?
Do I believe that we should start carpet bombing Iran? Nope, but there should be some military consequences for supplying arms that murder our soldiers and marines. The same government that murdered our marines in Lebanon is still in power. How much longer do we allow them to spread their hatred?
Blair and Bush are mollifying the peasantry (US) not threatening those who attack us. They don’t have to threaten Iran, they know exactly what needs to be done but are unwilling to do so. They know exactly who we are fighting and they simply are unable to name them. This is not a revelation that just last week came upon them. They have known for a long time that Islam is the problem they simply are unable to say so.
sisu: “It’s about time. God bless Blair for getting this started”
