Commanders Palace will rise again, Ella Commands it…She once gave me a 10 minute lecture on polishing my shoes…

Met with Dicki Brennan here at the Club in Baton Rouge as we provided some space here for the management staff to figure out what to do next. I cut my teeth in the Restaurant business in Commanders Palace and knowing it will be back gives me hope.

But New Orleans will never be the same again….lets hope it will be better. The Crime was completely crazy in New Orleans. In a 3 month period before I left the place of my Birth I was caught in a shoot out between people robbing the Time Saver on Prytania, held up at gunpoint a block away, and finally had to draw my pump from underneath my couch when a friend of mine opened the door to a knock at 1:00am to find a young man collecting for United Way. The unmistakable sound of a pump action convinced him the pickings might be a bit easier some other place.
