C-802 Missile..path to Israel. Israel, France, China, Iran to Hezbollah

Because irony abounds in the Middle East it is worth noting that the design path of the missile which hit Israel began in Israel. This is not to say that Israel sold the missile to the terrorists themselves. No indeed not.

Rumor and naturally rumor is all we have right now since obviously France is not going to admit it stole the technology for the Exocet from the Israelis but the rumor is they did. Notice the the Gabriel was introduced into service years prior to the Exocet.

Then we have the Chinese who somehow get the technology for the C-802 from the French. Here is SENATE RESOLUTION 82–EXPRESSING THE SENSE OF THE SENATE TO URGE THE CLINTON ADMINISTRATION RELATIVE TO C-802 CRUISE MISSILES (Senate – May 05, 1997). Here is an interesting article with an extensive history of the C-802. Looks like our French friends are elbow deep in the shenanigans.

Then naturally the Iranians are using the technology originally stolen from Israel to murder Israeli citizens. The circle is closed. Sheesh all I can say is Israel better finish this fight now before those Islamic Fanatics get bigger weapons.

Well gosh now I feel a whole bunch safer. The Bush administration has long sought to focus attention on Iranian missile proliferation, and regularly discusses with journalists intelligence evidence of those activities. But American officials in Washington made clear this week that they were reluctant to detail Iran’s arming of Hezbollah in the current conflict. [...]
