Gingrich on top 2008 Presidential Poll, Tancredo fourth!

Innovative Zogby poll has Newt leading and Tancredo 4th…what was that they said about Immigration not being a winning issue?

Newt Gingrich would be my top choice among the current front runners. Both him and Tancredo get it regarding our war against Islamic Imperialism and both get immigration. Neither one supports gun control and support for any sort of gun control is a deal killer for me. Naturally that leaves out Giuliani and McCain though McCain has so much going against him that its hard to figure what his path is to the Republican Nomination. No Senator Grandstand I haven’t forgotten nor have I forgiven the McCain-Feingold Campaign finance act that is the most blatant attack on the 1st Amendment in modern history.

This Zogby poll is nothing to sneeze at since it accurately predicted Senator McCain’s power as a “mavrick” back when Senator Grandstand was challenging W for the 2000 Republican nomination.

Washington Whispers It’s Gingrich’s to Lose in 2008 Whispers: When questioning likely primary voters, only brief biographies and resumes-not names-were given. In other words, voters picked the one with the best experience. Without her name recognition working for her, Clinton came in a miserable sixth out of 10. “It looks like the Democrats want to grab the middle,” says Zogby, who says outside-the-beltway Democrats lean moderate.

Now a new poll shows Newt running first among Republicans! The twist – when questioning likely primary voters, this Zogby poll hides the names of the candidates, only revealing only brief biographies and resumes-not names. [...]
