Fun stuff at the end of a day…

You know it would be nice if some of those politicians on the right I send so much money to could be as direct and uncomprimising as Christopher Hitchens. Absolutely does not stand for any sort of bullshit and calls it like he see’s it regarding the War. He doesn’t play that Islam has been hijacked nonsense either…brilliant stuff. If you have not seen this interview I highly recommend it.

By the way for you lunatics who are starting to claim that the war is over and we won. Consider this report out today by the journalist who got the only interview with Bin Laden after 9/11 who is now claiming that Al Qaeda is planning a nuclear strike the end of this month. Yea I know bullshit but then again, anyone with any sense knows we have not wiped out all of those who are fighting us. Anyone with sense knows that far from wiping out the sponsors and nations harboring terrorists we have found excuse after excuse to leave them alone. Nations like N.Korea, Iran and Syria have the money and power to project terrorists. We have already proven that we will not believe any state can be behind terrorist attacks by all the shenanigans our CIA, Government and Press went throught to prove that Saddam wasn’t involved in terror. If you believe that this behavior will cause any nation considering terror attacks against us to reconsider then I have a bridge in Manhattan I want to sell you while it is still standing.

Anyone who doubts that those problems will find a way to bite us on the ass hasn’t been paying attention. Lets remember that these are the same folks who patiently waited years for the right moment to strike us on 9/11.

  1. Exactly correct, we have the weapons but not the will to use them.

    What is worse is as bad as the Republicans are the Democrats are an order of magnitude worse in all aspects. Morals? please….fortitude? Yea sure…we are in a fix there is no doubt about it.

  2. Recall in the early 1970s that John McPhee, a prolific writer for William Shawn’s New Yorker magazine (since very much defunct), published “The Curve of Binding Energy”. Therein, he and a nuclear weapons engineer instrumental in reducing a 10-megaton H-bomb (100 Hiroshimas) warhead to the size of a wastebasket wandered the new-built World Trade Center with the avowed object of testing domestic security arrangements. Not once were they stopped, not once was their “wastebasket device” ever so much as noticed.

    Near forty years later, does anyone pretend that non-landmark buildings in (say) Chicago, Atlanta, San Francisco are any whit less vulnerable? We either prevent such an occurrence, striking at terrorism’s root, or suffer the consequences– there is no “cure”.

    Today, each Multiple Independent(ly targeted) Re-entry Vehicle (MIRV), i.e. each full-scale ICBM, carries three 10-megaton (probably more like 20-megaton) warheads. Each missile submarine has sixteen launch tubes, and America’s sub-fleet has dozens of such football-field long vessels. So each MIRV’d missile carries 300 Hiroshima bombs; each missile-sub carries 4800 Hiroshimas; and each squadron of three subs carries 14,400 Hiroshimas.

    These lie in waiting, on six-month patrol, deep off worldwide continental shelves. No doubt, every major nuclear power disposes several squadrons. Even a North Korean or Iranian Punchinello might consider what removing the top three feet of topsoil from his Communist or Mullah-istic territory actually entails. An Electromagnetic Pulse (EMP) might be sufficient, on a good-hair day… if not, neither Marx nor Allah will avert catastrophe.

    Can we not hear Kim Jong-il bleating, “But that would be illegal!”? What he means is, that since about 1968 a multi-culti/PC culture of Western suicide has drained all credibility from a civilizational response.

    Alas for Kim-baby, one stab of a button, and the delusion perishes with his entire country– women, children, brutal cadres and Commissars, massed cohorts, Secret Police, everyone. When it comes to life-or-death, seriously meant, seriously in prospect, we ask: Who would not “choose Life”? Too bad you have to die, Comrades and Caliphs. Passive-ist breast-beating in the aftermath will only confirm that absent your atrocities the World has become a better place.
