Are we fighting Iraq, Afganistan, soon to be Iran, and many other seemingly unrelated nations of threat? Or are we fighting a religious war again the Islamic nations? God help us, a nation of very few remaining morals, if we are trying to fight a religious war, because this whole controversy over what the Pope said goes to show that the Muslim religion pays more attention to the Pope than does the United States in general. All this about Islam and the Muslim community in general brings to mind a valid point – who are we, America, really fighting? Are we fighting Iraq, Afganistan, soon to be Iran, and many other seemingly unrelated nations of threat? Or are we fighting a religious war again the Islamic nations? I recommend that you read the book “Templars, The Dramatic History of Knights Templar, the Most Powerful Military Order of the Crusades” by Piers Paul Read. A good read on the sources of this conflict with a concise explanation of the violent roots of Islam.
