UPDATED: Get mad! Hot Air with Rep Shays going off! Bout time! National Review all hot and bothered . It gets right down to this none of the complaints against the Republicans, and many are legitimate, stand up as important against the continued prosecution of the war. The Democrats are simply not serious about defending us. Furthermore to compare Democrats morality against Republican morality is hilarious…can you say Sen Kennedy and a dead mistress? We cannot afford to lose this election because you (conservatives) didn’t vote. Send money, send moral support, man the phones, knock on doors…after we win we can punish those Republicans who forgot who sent them. Robert Tracinski wrote an article that all of you conservatives wanting to sit on your hands this November might better read.

So then is this it? We have made our stand, shown our ability to govern and now like a bunch of petulant children we are going to take our marbles and go home? Sure I am upset by the games the Republicans have played with Immigration. Sure the budget for the military should be much higher as a percentage of the GDP. No doubt funding the Bridge to Nowhere was a terrible idea. But none of that matters, truly matters since 9/11. And yes I know that the President has played a terrible game of attempting to get pet measures (immigration) passed by conservatives by playing off our need to support him during this war. None of it matters except this. Do you want Madeline Albright responsible for standing up to the North Koreans? Do you think that Jimmy Carter did a fabulous job while President? Or maybe you agree with Jimmy Carters treaty with North Korea. We are at war and conservatives are supposed to be the adults but how can that be true when we are actually thinking about letting the children run the show during some of the most dangerous times in our nations history. And our reason is petulance that we aren’t getting all the candy we want…how dare we presume to call ourselves serious if we allow the Democrats to win. Get up off your ass and vote…support Republicans or we will all be watching as the headchoppers roll over the Democrats come December.
