Pentagon is looking into leaks…

Here is a link to a Fox News story claiming that the Pentagon is looking into who leaked classified material to the New York Times. Hmmm hey isn’t the Pentagon supposed to have people whose sole job it is to prevent our classified material from being leaked to anyone? Do we have an A Team that only looks for leaks to Foreign enemies and a B Team consisting of Keystone Cops characters who look into leaks to those 5th columnists in the MSM?

If I am being too obscure consider how strange it is that people can take our top secret information and leak it to a Newspaper known around the world. Am I supposed to be confident that the same people who have not been able to prevent such occurrences can actually prevent Al Qaeda from gaining our secrets?

Leaks are just another name for giving away secrets. Counter Intelligence is supposed to be preventing that sort of crap. Now if I were an optimist I might think that only the stuff they want leaked is actually getting out. I am not an optimist. Matter of fact since I have personal knowledge regarding the competency of our government I am just about certain that Bin Laden knows more about my nations secrets than I do.

Except for a brief period during WW2 where we excelled because we had no rules except to win the United States has always been considered to be a bunch of rubes. Nothing I see in the papers talking about secrets being released leads me to believe that this situation has improved.

Another good reason for voting Republican since it was the Democrats decades long struggle against our intelligence agencies that denuded them of the talent we so desperately need now.
