Ass tastes so good declares Blair and the British Marines…pride, honor…phhht!

For something to really piss you off just go take a read of Patrick Dollard who is saying that we traded one of the top officers in the Iranian Quds Force, for these British ”soldiers”….if this is true then Bush has lost his mind.

Jules Crittenden has a terrific round up of reaction to this humiliation.  Michelle has the code of conduct sent by an American Officer.

So then the end of the British Lion comes to pass as a whimper…is this a foretelling of the United States?

Royal Marine Captain Chris Air spoke of his shock as he waited to meet the president in Tehran. He said: “We’re delighted. It’s come as a complete surprise.” Source: The Sun Online – News: Freed 15 taunted by captors

Oooh Goody Oooh Goody...thanks for the suits

Well now that’s a happy bunch eh? Could they look a little more like soldiers who were embarrassed at being captured and a little less like children who got a last minute reprieve from a spanking.

For a group of soldiers who folded so quickly and with so little obvious torture its hard to like this bunch or to admire them….but soon enough they will be hailed as hero’s. The British and American Press will be salivating over them it will be sickening.

Here is a reminder of what a hero looks like.

Sgt Major Brad Kasal United States Marines

Troops were clearing buildings of terrorists when Kasal spotted a wounded American who said at least three Marines were trapped in a nearby house filled with “bad guys.”

Kasal rounded up a crew and led the way.

“I knew it was the toughest fighting we were doing,” he would recall.

He entered first to give the Marines more confidence.

He noticed several dead Iraqis on the floor. He pointed two of his men toward a wounded American, then took Nicoll with him to check an “uncleared” room.

Shots burst from an AK-47 assault rifle 2 feet from Kasal. He backed up, then returned fire.

“I stuck my barrel right in his chest, we were that close,” said Kasal. “I kept pulling the trigger until he went down . . . then I shot him two more times in the forehead to make sure he was dead.”

From a staircase behind him came another barrage. “I never even saw it coming,” Kasal said.

Round after round after round, nearly cutting his leg in half. READ MORE

Then there is the idea that you are supposed to fold like a child when captured. Here is another American who displayed courage right up to the bitter end. He was captured by the same group of people who captured the British “soldiers”. The same monsters to whom Blair declared “To the Iranian people I would simply say this, ‘We bear you no ill will. On the contrary, we respect Iran as an ancient civilisation, a nation with a proud and dignified history’.” Yea real proud history…blowing up Marines in their barracks while they sleep, hanging gays, stoning adulators…real proud. Before you respond telling me that the majority of the Iranians do not back this sort of behavior tell me what they are doing to stop it. Notice too that this young man never gave in and never surrendered…pride and honor was his dominant trait…something terribly missing.

SW2 Robert Dean Stethem Hijacked, Tortured, Shot June 15, 1985 – Beirut, Lebanon

On June 15, 1985 Hezballah Shi’ites (sponsored by Iran ironically enough ed.) brutally beat, tortured and then killed 23 year old Robert Dean Stethem as he was being held hostage aboard TWA 847 commercial airliner. Robert was on his way home after a tour of duty with the US Navy in the Middle East. The terrorists had hijacked the plane with 153 passengers in Athens Greece forcing the pilot to fly twice to Algiers and twice to Beirut during the 17 day siege. The hostages were released after Israel released 435 Lebanese and Palestinian prisoners.

“When the plane was at the Beirut airport in Lebanon, Petty Officer Stethem was singled out because he was in the US military. After many hours of being cruelly beaten, tortured, and finally killed by the terrorists, they threw his body from the plane in a final disgraceful, cowardly act. The wounds were so terrible that his body had to be identified by its fingerprints.

Throughout the ordeal, Robert Stethem did not yield, and instead encouraged his fellow passengers to endure by his example. He was posthumously awarded the Purple Heart and Bronze Star for heroism and bravery. He is buried at Arlington Cemetery.”
–Mark Crawford, Bryantown from “Who Was Robert Stethem”

So then spare the celebrations for these British Soldiers. No need to chastise them but it might not be a bad idea to pull your soldiers aside and instruct them that folding alike a 3 year old child is frowned upon. They are not hero’s, they did nothing heroic. Indeed they went out of their way to appear like wimps…damn shame given the history of the British. Lets pray we never see American Soldiers so humiliated, so easily.
