Dramatic title for a web site no doubt but SANE delivers the goods. Going straight to the top of my great links list simply because no other site deals with the threat of Islam with quite the direct no nonsense way as SANE. Some tease their way close to the realization but at the last moment seem to pull back when they realize the inescapable conclusion of the path they are on will lead them to calling Islam what it is, a mortal threat to liberal democracy. That is very unstylish.
SANE does not pull any punches nor does it utter sweet nothings like, Islam is a great religion being perverted.
SANE talks about winning the war. When is the last time you heard any politician on either side talk about winning the war? Hell some of them are halfway to declaring the war is some sort of BushitlerHaliburton concoction brewed up to help Bush win the 2004 elections. Here is a snippet from the site.
War making is not for the weak of heart. Nor is it sport. It is the deadly business of national survival. War making ought to be the policy of choice only when it is necessary to achieve the goals declared primary and only when fought to be victorious.
War making = Motivation + Capability. To win a war, you must have both. To defeat your enemy, you must destroy at least one.
Confusion abounds in war making. This is as true of the chattering classes who write of war as it is of the military and political leadership responsible for defending this nation. The result: political and policy ambiguity leading to a stalemated war effort which results in an abdication of war-time motivation. Vietnam? Iraq? Sadly, yes. We are being led by fools and knaves in both political parties that are out of touch with reality. What that says about the situational awareness and moral standards of the American people is shameful. Perhaps thousands of American deaths from now, as a US president is traversing Pennsylvania Avenue, some little boy will shout, ?The president has no clothes!? ? and the American people as a distinct people will awaken from its slumber. It is for that moment of awakening, I direct the remainder of my essay.
