From AP’s Frank Jordons comes this reassuring article that someone in Europe understands how to deal with being overrun by crime committed by immigrants. Notice though how long it takes the article to mention that this law is targeted against immigrants.

They do go on for quite some time making allusions that this new Swiss proposal is related to the NAZI practice of sippenhaft. But sippenhaft was not used specifically against immigrants and the Swiss version does not see the immigrants being shipped to either firing squads or concentration camps. Sippenhaft was most famously used against the German aristocracy, specifically Count Stauffenberg  who as I am sure you know planted the bomb that almost ended Hitler’s life.

The Swiss proposal might cure the problem of crime by immigrants by forcing families to police their own children.

The campaign poster was blatant in its xenophobic symbolism: Three white sheep kicking out a black sheep over a caption that read “for more security.” The message was not from a fringe force in Switzerland’s political scene but from its largest party. The nationalist Swiss People’s Party is proposing a deportation policy that anti-racism campaigners say evokes Nazi-era practices. Under the plan, entire families would be expelled if their children are convicted of a violent crime, drug offenses or benefits fraud.

Course there is a theory that if European politicians let the immigration problems of crime and a lack of desire to assimilate get much worse that there will arise a politician who will mimic Hitler’s final solution. The NPD in Germany are making strong gains in the polls.

The NPD has called for financial incentives for families to have more children. It has also made no secret of its harsh anti-foreigner stance and has praised Nazi-era economic and education policies.

So then 8 paragraphs down we learn…that there is a means test before you are expelled. Furthermore that the hope is for this to cure the problem of crime which will allow the rest of the immigrants to stay.

“As soon as the first 10 families and their children have been expelled from the country, then things will get better at a stroke,” said Maurer, whose party controls the Justice Ministry and shares power in an unwieldy coalition that includes all major parties.

He explained that his party has long campaigned to make deportation compulsory for convicted immigrants rather than an optional and rarely applied punishment.

The party claims foreigners - who make up about 20 percent of the population - are four times more likely to commit crimes than Swiss nationals.

Not being able to expel criminals who are immigrants sounds familiar.

In case you think this 2003 article is the hysterical ranting’s of someone who merely doesn’t like immigrants consider this article from Useful Fools , 2003.

Here are Interpol 2001 crime statistics (rate per 100,000):

• 4161 - US
• 7736 - Germany
• 6941 - France
• 9927 - England and Wales

Thus the US has a substantially lower crime rate than the major European countries!

Here are the Interpol 1995 crime statistics (rate per 100,000):

• 5278 - US
• 8179 - Germany
• 6316 - France
• 7206 - England & Wales

Hence the trend in the US is towards a lower crime rate, while the trend in Europe (except Germany) is towards an increasing crime rate.

Naturally some wag will at this point, shout out the US’s high murder rate compared to Europe. To which Useful Fools replies with removing a certain section of our population�which I pointed out�in previous articles �is ignored in murder statistics as both victims and perpetrators. Ignoring this statistic does not make go away it simply condemns more people to be victims. Useful fools:

It is true that we (USA) have a high murder rate, mostly of criminals killing criminals, but a distressingly large number of people killing their spouses in anger, and the rate of ?stranger killings? is rising.

However, the homicide rates have been dropping dramatically as we have been increasing penalties:

Homicide Rate/100,000 by Date in US:

• 1980 - 10.2
• 2000 - 5.5

Also, our murder rate is high largely due to the multicultural nature of our society. Inner city blacks, members of a distinct subculture, have a vastly higher criminal and victim homicide rate than our society as an average:

Homicide Offender Rate/100,000 by Race in US (2000):

• 3.4 - White
• 25.8 - Black
• 3.2 - Other

It is often hypothesized that blacks are overrepresented in murder statistics due to racism on the part of police and the justice system. If this were true, one would expect that the race of victims would have significantly different distribution than the race of the perpetrators, but this is not the case:

Homicide Victim Rate/100,000 by Race in US (2000):

• 3.3 - White
• 20.5 - Black
• 2.7 - Other

Thus if you remove homicides committed by blacks (total: 21862, Blacks:9316), and assume a proportionality between number of offenders and number of offenses, you can extrapolate US homicide offender rate of only 2.6/100,000, lower than Germany (3.27) and France (3.91).

Naturally I have managed once again to veer off topic. Of course we are right on topic if you consider this post to be another condemnation of multiculturalism. The favorite club of the left when they start beating on those of us dismayed by our deteriorating societies. We must find ways of defeating this attack before we can proceed to build societies which are safe for us all. We must get there soon.
