5 Myths About Terrorism – Or Why Our Children Leave Even Once Great Colleges as Numbnuts!

Here is Alan B. Krueger, who is the Bendheim professor of economics and public policy at Princeton University and the author of “What Makes a Terrorist”, displaying how to make an ass of himself in front of the world. He was busy displaying his Multicultural expertise when he falls down and can’t get back up. Most of the article is common liberal pap until he reaches this point where he explodes into an orgy of multicultural dumbness.

4. Terrorism is mainly perpetrated by Muslims.

Wrong. No religion has a monopoly on terrorism. Every major religious faith has had followers involved in terrorism. (Sri Lanka, for instance, has grappled for decades with the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam, a separatist group that pioneered suicide bombing as a terrorist tactic and hopes to create a homeland for the country’s mostly Tamil minority, who are largely Hindu.) Although radical Islamic terrorists are the worry du jour because of 9/11 and Iraq, the data show pretty clearly that the predominant religion of a country is not a good predictor of whether its people will become involved in terrorism. 5 Myths About Terrorism – washingtonpost.com

Terrorism is mainly perpetrated by Muslims. The good professors response is to say, I am paraphrasing him hehe, no no no, no religion has a monopoly on terrorism. Well no one has said that ALL terror was perpetuated by Muslims but that MOST terror is.

Here is the State Department’s list of Terrorist Organizations. Yup not all of them are Muslim, but astonishingly a majority of them are…who knew.

The Office of the Coordinator for Counterterrorism in the State Department (S/CT) continually monitors the activities of terrorist groups active around the world to identify potential targets for designation. When reviewing potential targets, S/CT looks not only at the actual terrorist attacks that a group has carried out, but also at whether the group has engaged in planning and preparations for possible future acts of terrorism or retains the capability and intent to carry out such acts.

The US Patriot Act of 2001 authorized the Secretary of State, with the request of the Attorney General, to designate terrorist organizations for immigration purposes. This authority is known as the ?Terrorist Exclusion List (TEL)? authority. A TEL designation increases homeland security efforts by facilitating the ability to exclude aliens associated with entities on the TEL from entering the United States.

Designation Criteria

An organization can be placed on the TEL if the Secretary of State finds that the organization:

bullet
commits or incites to commit, under circumstances indicating an intention to cause death or serious bodily injury, a terrorist activity;

bullet
prepares or plans a terrorist activity;

bullet
gathers information on potential targets for terrorist activity; or

bullet
provides material support to further terrorist activity.
