Here are a couple of snippets from a writer that if you have not yet spent worthwhile hours reading, you should. Just recently whilst commenting on Belmont Club I wrote that the world should pity the United States, we brought a gun to a philosophical war and a cowboy to a debate. We know the world does not pity us because in its foolishness the world seems to believe, like some dumb ass teenager laying on the centerline of a highway, that it won’t be run over by events if we should not be here to save it. Theodore Dalrymple does not share that sanguine outlook on our future.
Let me show you the ways that he raises the alarm and prove to you that time spent watching the news would be better spent reading Theodore. Here on display is the idiocy of our multicultural ways. The British who we once thought would fight back from the very grave are exposing their throats after being punched lightly on the arm.
How Societies Commit Suicide 0Â In an effort to ensure that no Muslim doctors ever again try to bomb Glasgow Airport, bureaucrats at Glasgow?s public hospitals have decreed that henceforth no staff may eat lunch at their desks or in their offices during the holy month of Ramadan, so that fasting Muslims shall not be offended by the sight or smell of their food. Vending machines will also disappear from the premises during that period. read more 0 | digg story
Then we have his view from just outside the nightmare of criminality in:
(a snippet or two) My work has caused me to become perhaps unhealthily preoccupied with the problem of evil. Why do people commit evil? What conditions allow it to flourish? How is it best prevented and, when necessary, suppressed? Each time I listen to a patient recounting the cruelty to which he or she has been subjected, or has committed (and I have listened to several such patients every day for 14 years), these questions revolve endlessly in my mind.
Farther down:
Ultimately, the moral cowardice of the intellectual and political elites is responsible for the continuing social disaster that has overtaken Britain, a disaster whose full social and economic consequences have yet to be seen. A sharp economic downturn would expose how far the policies of successive governments, all in the direction of libertinism, have atomized British society, so that all social solidarity within families and communities, so protective in times of hardship, has been destroyed. The elites cannot even acknowledge what has happened, however obvious it is, for to do so would be to admit their past responsibility for it, and that would make them feel bad. Better that millions should live in wretchedness and squalor than that they should feel bad about themselves?another aspect of the frivolity of evil. Moreover, if members of the elite acknowledged the social disaster brought about by their ideological libertinism, they might feel called upon to place restraints upon their own behavior, for you cannot long demand of others what you balk at doing yourself.
And finally he gives in when he realizes that the fight is futile.
There are pleasures, no doubt, to be had in crying in the wilderness, in being a man who thinks he has seen further and more keenly than others, but they grow fewer with time. The wilderness has lost its charms for me.
I’m leaving?I hope for good
There is vast good to be gotten from having the world so clearly laid out in front of your eyes. You have no excuse at that point. Theodore has not yelled at you, berated you, laid you low with insults. He has simply given you the facts. You may choose to do with them as you please. They will remain the facts whether you pay attention to them or not. Just as the car will run over you whether you believe you are invincible or not as you lay on the centerline of the highway. Yes the tree does make a sound when it falls, even as you make a sound when you are crushed by reality whether anyone is around to hear you or not.Â

One Jerusalem links to this article and I will link right back to them. We must join arms to fight back against the philosophical attacks and worse of a religion desiring a return to the 7th century.
