Obama is so far away from the ideas that pass for commentary that it is no wonder we were slapped around like a bunch of red haired step children this past election. Until we wise up we are likely to continue to be slapped around. Witness this "thought".

Cut-and-run Obama is no Abe Lincoln.He’s just your typical Copperhead like the democrats of 1864. Although the country’s sacrifice was much greater in 1864 when 625,000 Americans lost their lives than in Iraq where we’ve lost 4,227 Americans, the democratic party and their leader Barack Obama remain the same. Obama considers himself Lincoln because just like Lincoln he plans on vastly increasing the power of the Federal Government. THAT is the part that we need to worry about not some nonsense about supporting a war that is nearly over. Lincoln was dangerous because he took away our ability of succession. That was a central right and a critical method of moderating excessive Federal shenanigans.
Because of Lincoln we now have to sit around and watch as President Bush and his cronies stand around handing our very hard earned money around like candy. This is done EVEN though the people would vote against such nonsense if they were given the ability to decide by vote. And yes handing out our money to a bunch of failures should be put to a simple majority vote. We are not talking about taking away anyone’s rights.
The theft of our money is done by both Democrats and Republicans in a Government that has lost all semblance of responsibility towards its citizens. We are being shook down by our government and there isn’t a single thing we can do about it.
Obama is intent on increasing this Federal Power and the Republicans don’t seem to want to stop him since that would mean curtailing their power when the worm turns and they get into power. In all of this the people lose.
We should be fighting against this usurpation of people’s power not fighting about the differences between two political parties who both have a self interest in increasing Federal Power.
