"Want some torture with your peanuts?"…You can’t make this shit up! Sharia is starting to sound better than our Government!

My goodness if this weren’t so scary it would be funny. All of us will be wearing shock bracelets when we fly. Maybe we are closer to this than we know: “The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.” Thomas Jefferson.

By Jeffrey Denning

Just when you thought you’ve heard it all…
A senior government official with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has expressed great interest in a so-called safety bracelet that would serve as a stun device, similar to that of a police Taser®. According to this promotional video found at the Lamperd Less Lethal, Inc. website, the bracelet would be worn by all airline passengers (video also shown below).

This bracelet would:

• take the place of an airline boarding pass

• contain personal information about the traveler

• be able to monitor the whereabouts of each passenger and his/her luggage

• shock the wearer on command, completely immobilizing him/her for several minutes
The Electronic ID Bracelet, as it’s referred to, would be worn by every traveler “until they disembark the flight at their destination.”  Yes, you read that correctly. Every airline passenger would be tracked by a government-funded GPS, containing personal, private and confidential information, and would shock the customer worse than an electronic dog collar if the passenger got out of line. While the Base is Fighting an Existential Battle to Protect Civilization from Murderous Islamic Maniacs and the Moonbat Left, the Republican Party is handing out stuffed animals to Raise Money…okey dokey.

Pierre Legrand’s Pink Flamingo Bar

At the bottom of this post is a copy of a dumb ass email sent to me by the Republican Party. They miss me. I have given them hundreds of dollars…err perhaps a lot more in the last 31 years. I have worked the phones, knocked on doors, and written extensively on why they are better. I do none of that anymore…now those puddin heads want to send me stuffed animals named Sam to entice me to restart my giving…astounding. Why not send me some hope that they are different than the Democrats?

What happened? When did we lose focus?  When did we go from being the Party of Ideas and philosophy to the party of appeasement and stuffed animals? You laugh and think he is nuts for saying the Republicans are the party of Appeasement? Tell me exactly what the hell is McCain calling for when he makes the claim that he will cross the aisle and work with the other side? The other side is Obama and tell me exactly when he has bragged about crossing the aisle to work with us? Why do we apologize for our ideas? Why don’t the Democrats apologize for theirs? Their ideas lead to corruption and disaster and yet we act as if they have ideas worth meeting halfway. Why? When do they meet us halfway and furthermore exactly why is it valuable to meet certain ideas halfway. Should we meet those who would nationalize our oil industries half way? What is the compromise point in that discussion? Should we give away half of our guns? Give away half of our children’s education to their corruptions? Goddamn I hate McCain…but I hate Obama worse.

Which ideas lead to corruption and disaster? Let me count the ways.

  1. Democrat Ted Kennedy authored the 1965 Immigration that has led to whole sale changes of our society. He explicitly promised that his changes would not bring exactly what they have brought.
    • 1965: “The bill will not flood our cities with immigrants. It will not upset the ethnic mix of our society. It will not relax the standards of admission. It will not cause American workers to lose their jobs.” (uh dial one for english…2 for whatever)
  2. In the fall of 1974, Nixon resigned under the pressure of the Watergate scandal and was succeeded by Gerald Ford. Congress cut funding to South Vietnam for the upcoming fiscal year from a proposed 1.26 billion to 700 million dollars (which led directly to the Boat People and Cambodia, congrats to the Democrats)
  3.  The War on Poverty…which has given us, drumroll please, more poverty.

I have to stop this is pissing me off…exactly HOW CAN THE REPUBLICAN PARTY BE SO CORRUPT AND LACKING OF IDEAS THAT WE ALLOW FOLKS WHO CAME UP WITH THIS CRAP TO WIN?

Thank you Democrats…and Thank you Republicans for being so unable to answer the idiocy of the Democrats that you are reduced to giving away GODDAMN STUFFED ANIMALS. If there is a God in heaven please let him send us someone who will rid us of the idiots currently in charge of the Republican party machine.

No no nooooo NOT the Panties…I will tell you anything you want to know, just don’t put those panties on my head! Arrrrggggghhh did you SEE the Tramp those came off of?

Rep. Dana Rohrabacher should be ashamed of himself…doesn’t he know that if we ask a mass murdering pile of shit a question about who he is planning on murdering next and he doesn’t want to answer we are supposed to apologize for our temerity in asking the question in the first place? Next thing you know he is going to be wanting to actually kill our enemies on the battlefield and we absolutely mustn’t do that!

Rep. Dana Rohrabacher on Wednesday dismissed the idea that taunting terrorism suspects with women’s panties is a form of torture.

In a debate about detainee treatment at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, the California Republican cited panties eight times, arguing that making suspected terrorists wear women’s underwear on their heads isn’t demeaning and degrading enough to be called torture.

“You’re suggesting that the behavior of, what, panties on his head … is unacceptable interrogation technique for a man who was involved in a conspiracy to kill tens of thousands of Americans?” Rohrabacher asked during a House Foreign Affairs Committee hearing. Slip Sliding Away…Slip Sliding Away…you know, the less you defend Freedom of Speech the more it slip slides away.

Depressing when France is more courageous than the United States. But the truth hurts…witness this editor who was fired for publishing the cartoons in the French Newspaper France Soir. We are at war right now and since this is largely an ideological war, words matter. The ability to speak freely matters. Here is Flemming Rose commenting on the failure of the American Press to publish the cartoons in solidarity with the fight to keep speech free.

“It reads on the top of the New York Times, ‘All the News That’s Fit to Print,’ but it’s very hard to argue that this was not news on February 1, 2006,” the culture editor of Denmark’s Jyllands-Posten, Flemming Rose, said Wednesday night during a speech at Stanford University. Most American newspapers did not publish the cartoons, which include images of Muhammad with a bomb in his turban and of suicide bombers being greeted by the Muslim prophet in heaven.

Europe has usually been criticized for being politically correct and on the defense when it comes to Islam, but more European newspapers published the cartoons,” he said. “We might not have had the kind of ongoing crisis if more newspapers around the world would have published the cartoons at the same time because by doing so you would have drawn a clear line. … Instead, it was pretty unclear what people in liberal democracies thought of this issue.” Cartoon Editor Disillusioned With U.S. Press | The New York Sun

Our press grievously failed to live up to their responsibility of being the guardians of free speech. By appeasing the easily offended muslims they have ceded ground in our fight that we will not get back. We should have published those cartoons. Weasel little nothings like James David Dickson editor of The Michigan Review making sorry excuses for not living up to his responsibility did us no favors. Witness this poor excuse for failure and notice that it is the National Review that gives him a stage to embarrass himself. Did they agree with his stance?

The Danish cartoons arose from a desire to combat European self-censorship, but the almost-uniform refusal of American editors to reprint the cartoons speaks to the extent to which our press truly is free. In the case of The Michigan Review, this meant freedom from the sophomoric, macho impulse to offend for the sake of it, as if to pretend that discretion isn’t the better part of valor. Americans self-censor because we don’t see the need to offend; Europeans self-censor because they fear an Islamic backlash. The Danes profane the prophet Mohammed to include Muslims in their culture; we don’t profane Mohammed because, frankly, we wouldn’t do it to anyone else.

Absolutely incredible. This twit exercises his freedom by avoiding confrontation with those who would steal it away.

Here are the French, endlessly portrayed as cowards:

Under the headline “We have the right to caricature God,” a French newspaper today reprinted the Danish cartoons of the Prophet Muhammad that have ignited extraordinary anti-Danish protests, death threats and boycotts across the Muslim world. France Soir published the drawings, first printed by Jyllands-Posten, a right-of-centre Danish broadsheet last September, across pages four and five of this morning’s edition with an editorial that defended the freedom of the press. “The publication of 12 cartoons in the Danish press has shocked the Muslim world for whom the representation of Allah and his prophet is banned,” the newspaper said. “But because no religious dogma can impose its view on a democratic and secular society, France Soir publishes the incriminated cartoons.”

Bush bashing…Peggy Noonan and me pile on. Bother you? Make something of it!

There were two critical spots in this overall terrific piece that Peggy Noonan struck a nerve.

And, as always: Why do we do this when you know I am not a terrorist, and you know I know you know I am not a terrorist? Why this costly and harassing kabuki when we both know the facts, and would agree that all this harassment is the government’s way of showing “fairness,” of showing that it will equally humiliate anyone in order to show its high-mindedness and sense of justice? Our politicians congratulate themselves on this as we stand in line.

When I stood there helplessly as TSA pukes patted down my 74 year old Mom and Step Dad I knew that it was indeed, as Noonan puts it, mere Kabuki theater. This nonsense being foisted upon us by idiot politicians was useless. We would never catch anyone like this….

But then she reaches full song and hits right to my heart. I do not like this man we call President, this man to whom I have given more money than was prudent. In 2000 because I thought him the better man. In 2004 I gave because the other man was so much worse. Now comes 2008 and again there are no choices.

He has left on-the-ground conservatives – the local right-winger, the town intellectual reading Burke and Kirk, the old Reagan committeewoman – feeling undefended, unrepresented and alone.

This will have impact down the road.

I finally understand the party nostalgia for Reagan. Everyone speaks of him now, but it wasn’t that way in 2000, or 1992, or 1996, or even ‘04.

I think it is a manifestation of dislike for and disappointment in Mr. Bush. It is a turning away that is a turning back. It is a looking back to conservatism when conservatism was clear, knew what it was, was grounded in the facts of the world.

The reasons for the quiet break with Mr. Bush: spending, they say first, growth in the power and size of government, Iraq. I imagine some of this: a fine and bitter conservative sense that he has never had to stand in his stockinged feet at the airport holding the bin, being harassed. He has never had to live in the world he helped make, the one where grandma’s hip replacement is setting off the beeper here and the child is crying there. And of course as a former president, with the entourage and the private jets, he never will. I bet conservatives don’t like it. I’m certain Gate 14 doesn’t.Declarations - WSJ.com

YES YES YES….and more. The man I gave so much of my loyalty and money to tried to betray me with the immigration fiasco’s. He did the unthinkable, he lied. I know it is a cliché to claim that politicians lie but they are not supposed to be proud of it. President Bush lied to my face repeatedly…I do not like liars. Never have, never will.

Then the President came to Baton Rouge the other day and it struck me that we have created monsters of our Presidents. This man, yes he is a man, absolutely locked up the City of Baton Rouge for hours. He did this because one of the Republicans running for office needed Bush to raise money for him. So this man, the President, got into his big taxpayer funded 747 and flew from New Orleans, 73 miles away probably closer as the crow or President flies, to Baton Rouge. Royalty cannot be more royal. Our President is not supposed to be royalty. While our President flew his huge taxpayer funded jet the 73 miles other tax payer funded Military jets flew circles around his path, armed to the teeth, reminding one and all that this was a man of power…then insult was added to injury.

When the freeways were shut down whilst this man, just a man, rode from the airport in his huge convoy towards this very exclusive fundraiser. Then when this man, just a man, decided to leave the freeway was locked up again….royalty does not gain you these sorts of privileges.

When did we agree to this?

Saddam and Al Qaeda Sitting in a Tree…of course they had a Collaborative Relationship, duh.

Time to remember why we went to war again since the Bush Administration cannot be bothered to make the case.

This was published as a blog post to commemorate the 5th Anniversary of 9/11. It is time to remember why we are fighting in Iraq.

Why did I make this list of Saddam’s Connections and Collaborations with Al Qaeda?

This list started out as just an area to drop links that I found relevant regarding the most obvious reason for taking Saddam out of power, his use of Islamic terrorists to wage war by proxy. This aspect of Saddam’s madness has always been the central reason for deposing him. We could not allow any Dictator who believed in using Islamic terrorists as proxies to have any sort of major weapons. The crux was his desire to use Islamic terrorists as proxies in wars against us, which he states as a viable strategy against us in his conversations with Ambassador Glaspie prior to Former President Bush’s war to take back Kuwait.

As a father it struck me early on how important it was to have valid reason for going to war. Theorists, policy makers, and various bureaucrats might believe UN Resolutions were important enough to go to and sustain war but as a father I knew it wouldn’t be. None of my children mattered so little to me that I would waste them upholding such a cynical organization as the UN. But showing clear connections and collaborations between a nation and those terrorists we knew to be attacking and I would support going to war.

Our war is far from over. To do our part at home we need to respond against those who try and stop our battle for survival by discrediting our war in Iraq specifically, and against Islamic totalitarians in general. Fight back against those who try to say that Saddam was not linked to terror, either in private conversations, letters to the editor, radio talk shows or wherever they make themselves known. Now when you hear someone make the claim that there was no evidence of Saddam’s links to terror you have at your fingertips enough evidence to make effective counterpoints.

Frankly I am embarrassed for Tyrrell regarding his fawning over a Islamist loving Grover Norquist.

R. Emmett Tyrrell is shocked, SHOCKED I tell you that Linda Chavez is not a big fan of Grover “Arabist” Norquist.  Here is a snippet from his Article over at the American Spectator. Course I am shocked that neither of them made any mention of Grover Norquist’s scary alliances with terrorists and their enablers. What a shame it is to see a magazine that I have absolutely loved get caught up in the adoration of a man whose loyalties must be suspect.

Pajamas Media has a blockbuster report on Islamic Penetration into the DOD…why am I not surprised?

Pierre Legrand’s Pink Flamingo Bar

After all the Commander and Chief of this once great country likes to hang out with terrorists.

For more than fifty years, the Institute for Defense Analyses (IDA) has been one of the leading government-sponsored and -funded research institutions, conducting highly classified research for the military and intelligence community’s most secret projects. Pajamas Media » Blog Archive » Your Tax Dollars Funding Terror

No doubt you are wondering what am I smoking to be making those sorts of accusations towards the man who once said.

Our war on terror begins with al Qaeda, but it does not end there.  It will not end until every terrorist group of global reach has been found, stopped and defeated.  (Applause.)

Who further said that very same night.

Our response involves far more than instant retaliation and isolated strikes.  Americans should not expect one battle, but a lengthy campaign, unlike any other we have ever seen.  It may include dramatic strikes, visible on TV, and covert operations, secret even in success.  We will starve terrorists of funding, turn them one against another, drive them from place to place, until there is no refuge or no rest.  And we will pursue nations that provide aid or safe haven to terrorism.  Every nation, in every region, now has a decision to make. Either you are with us, or you are with the terrorists.  (Applause.)  From this day forward, any nation that continues to harbor or support terrorism will be regarded by the United States as a hostile regime.

But who days before had been hanging out with a terrorist.

9/14/2001 President Bush plays patsy cake with Islamic “Leaders” at a Washington “Prayer” service for the victims of 9/11. The rubble is still smoking and President Bush has at his side, Abdurahaman Alamoudi who US Intelligence suspected of having ties to the people who knocked the buildings down in the first goddamn place. Our Islamic friend Abdurahaman goes on to be prosecuted for terrorist ties and is now serving time. But it gets even better! Also at our President’s side is Muzzammil Siddiqi the spiritual leader of the Islamic Society of Orange county and who had claimed an year earlier that the US deserved to be attacked for our ties.

Muzzammil had served as a translator for Blind Sheikh Omar Abdul-Rahman whilst he lectured about violent jihad. And since it can only get worse in attendance at these lectures were such terrorist luminaries as Adam Gadahn and Khalil Deek who were part of a Al Qaeda Sleeper cell operating in the States.

And Bush is praying with these folks. Praying for what? Brains? Can you imagine how hard those “peaceful muslims” were laughing at our “Commander in Chief”?

So it is not a surprise at all that we should find DOD infiltrated with Islamic terrorists. Actually it is probably a lot worse than just a couple of Departments.

Lets not forget out “Commander in Chief” literally holding hands with the major sponsor of terrorism in the world!

Tip Toe Through the Tulips with You...

So go over to PJ Media and read this story and weep for this country. Weep for the imbeciles who elected such leaders as Carter, Bush, Clinton and Bush. We do not want to be bothered with the details of running our country but details have a knack of rising up and smacking us upside of our heads. If we wait long enough the details will smack so hard we will die.

Islam is the Problem, Moderation Not the Solution…so says Magdi Cristiano Allam

This old post of mine is relevent to this discussion. Recently the Pope baptized Magdi Cristiano Allam who for the longest time has been one of the major faces of so-called Moderate Islam. From Spenglers terrific article:  Magdi Allam has a powerful voice as deputy editor of Italy’s newspaper of record, Corriere della Sera, and a bestselling author. For years he was the exemplar of “moderate Islam” in Europe, and now he has decided that Islam cannot be “moderate”.

For too long we have labored under the idea that we can change Islam. We can moderate an immoderate religion. We can change the nature of Mohammed’s legacy. We can do none of this. Islam is immoderate. Mohammed is immoderate. There is no such thing as moderate Islam. Islam is not the religion of peace. You should run from anyone so foolish as to make the claim that Islam is a peaceful religion. Listen to Magdi Cristiano and understand that we are indeed in a fight for civilization and the sooner we understand that fact the sooner we will start fighting back.

Magdi: I asked myself how it was possible that those who, like me, sincerely and boldly called for a “moderate Islam”, assuming the responsibility of exposing themselves in the first person in denouncing Islamic extremism and terrorism, ended up being sentenced to death in the name of Islam on the basis of the Koran. I was forced to see that, beyond the contingency of the phenomenon of Islamic extremism and terrorism that has appeared on a global level, the root of evil is inherent in an Islam that is physiologically violent and historically conflictive [emphasis added].

Not with swords but with philosophy and by calling all pious Muslims who are not violent to Christanity. Pope Benedict is showing us the way confirming my feelings about him. We must fight back. But it is unreasonable for us to try and use secularists such as  Ayaan Hirsi Ali to call the non-violent faithful away from Islam. We cannot substitute those folks belief in the All Mighty with nothing.

So then without further ado here is my article from 2 years ago taking Thomas Barnett on for his failiing to realize that Islam itself causes much of the problems associated with so called “gap” countries.

Was doing some research regarding a post I am working on and came across this March 2003 interview of Dr. Thomas Barnett author of “The Pentagon’s New Map”. This book sought to define the sort of wars we might find our country involved in these coming years and was so revolutionary and at once commonsensical that it found a wide audience and became a New York Times Bestseller. It was interesting to take a look at what he was saying years ago to see how well his predictions stood the test of time, even though 3 years doesn’t seem so long ago.

FITNA Live Leak intimidated by Muslim Hordes…Google to the rescue…

Live Leak had to pull this video because:

“Following threats to our staff of a very serious nature, and some ill informed reports from certain corners of the British media that could directly lead to the harm of some of our staff, Liveleak.com has been left with no other choice but to remove Fitna from our servers. This is a sad day for freedom of speech on the net but we have to place the safety and well being of our staff above all else. We would like to thank the thousands of people, from all backgrounds and religions, who gave us their support. They realised LiveLeak.com is a vehicle for many opinions and not just for the support of one. Perhaps there is still hope that this situation may produce a discussion that could benefit and educate all of us as to how we can accept one anothers culture. We stood for what we believe in, the ability to be heard, but in the end the price was too high.” Brennan

Apparently Google still had it up and I was able to get an English Copy. This video needs to go viral…which it has. But we all need to post it. A point is being made that the Muslims who get upset need to understand. Freedom of speech is paramount to freedom itself. We may not like what we say about each other but we better not force the other guy to shut up.

Seagulls cited for disturbing sleepy Cornish village delightfully entertaining 700-strong party of Muslims whose 5am call to prayer was interrupted by their nasty cawing. Mohammed said to not be amused.

Multiculturalism is such a sweet success in England.

Another resident said: “I loved it, I was hanging out of the window trying to hear. It’s a unique sound that reminds me of travelling and I’d much rather hear it than church bells.”

Indeed?!?!

Yesterday Muslim participants said the seagulls were louder than the call to prayers.

A mother of three from Manchester said: “It is a great time for us and brilliant for the kids to see somewhere a bit different. I can’t believe how beautiful it is here. The sea is lovely.

“I’m very surprised if people have a problem with the prayers call. It’s not very loud. They always put it at the lowest volume possible  sometimes we can hardly hear it.

“To be honest the seagulls and tractors around here are much noisier.” Sleepy Cornish village kept awake by 700-strong party of Muslims broadcasting 5am call to prayer by loudspeaker | the Daily Mail

The Corner Translates Henry Kissinger and yup he thinks democratization is dumb too.

A long time ago in another life when I labored under the illusion that I could make a difference I wrote an over long but fact filled piece that got about 10 hits. Democracy a fools errand or our only way out? Jeane Kirkpatrick responds In this article I set about tearing up the idea that Democracy was some sort of a good idea. The idea for centering the article around Jeanne Kirkpatrick came to me after her passing while I was catching up on her brilliance as our UN Ambassador. Ronald Reagan knew how to pick them. In the particular piece that caught Reagan’s eye was a absolutely damning argument against forcing democracy onto everyone. You can read this wonderful article for yourself here.

Well I am glad to see that Henry Kissinger has confirmed my belief that this Crusade President Bush has launched in the Middle East will not accomplish our main goal, securing our future from terror nations. Here is Henry Kissinger via the Corner:

Pentagon looking for ass with both hands comes up empty…Saddam’s Connections to Al Qaeda IS a Slam Dunk!

UPDATED: Ed Morrissey at Hot Air talking about the parts of the Pentagon report that were not covered in the Executive Summary.

Well it is just about time to publish this again seeing how the Pentagon insists on being dumb with reports like this one.  Next thing you know our government will be declaring that Islam is the religion of peace…oops.

Why did I make this list of Saddam’s Connections and Collaborations with Al Qaeda?
This list started out as just an area to drop links that I found relevant regarding the most obvious reason for taking Saddam out of power, his use of Islamic terrorists to wage war by proxy. To me this aspect of Saddam’s madness has always been the central reason for deposing him. We could not allow any Dictator who believed in using Islamic terrorists as proxies to have any sort of major weapons. The crux was his desire to use Islamic terrorists as proxies in wars against us, which he states as a viable strategy against us in the first example I provide below.

Fun things I did on Summer Vacation…leaked secret attempts to stop nuclear war CHECK, leaked bungles of the CIA CHECK…weeee!

The audacity and idiocy of the press continues unabated. Certainly much of this is driven by the fact that no one feels much danger these days. But regardless believing that it is immoral to force a reporter to give up his sources when those very same sources are breaking some very serious laws strikes me as absurd. Naturally it doesn’t strike the press corps as absurd…they have a right to aid and abet treachery in our supposedly secret services.

Devil May CAIR! Investor’s Business Daily forgets to mention C.A.I.R.’s other big friend President Bush.

Look I hate complaining about any large media outlet when they are taking an Democrats to task for supporting our enemies but…

Any Questions?

I cannot say it any better than this ticked off New Jersey Housewife.

Written by a housewife from New Jersey and she sure speaks her piece and puts the facts out there!!!!!

Forcing Democracy into the Square Peg of Islam…

Pierre Legrand’s Pink Flamingo Bar

Andrew McCarthy gets it right again when he bemoans the idiocy of trying to impose democracy onto Islamic nations.

A recent CNN poll showed that 46 percent of Pakistanis approve of Osama bin Laden.

Aspirants to the American presidency should hope to score so highly in the United States. In Pakistan, though, the al-Qaeda emir easily beat out that countrys current president, Pervez Musharraf, who polled at 38 percent. Andrew C. McCarthy on Benazir Bhutto on National Review Online

Not much mentioned is the Pew Poll that in 2003 showed Bin Laden with 58% support among the Muslims in the most populous Islamic Nation, Indonesia. Let that sink in for a moment or two.  A mere year and a half after the worst mass murdering terrorist attack in history had occurred the people of Indonesia, who are supposedly moderate/mainstream, thought Bin Laden was A-Ok. Here is the Pew Poll showing those numbers alongside the updated 07.14.05 numbers.  Btw before you claim that 2005 was long ago the 2007 numbers went up for Indonesia.  Now 41% of those moderate/mainstream Muslims in Indonesia have high confidence in Bin Laden.

That is a bit worrisome is it not?  Now exactly why do we want to give these folks the right to vote?  Perhaps it is better for us if they are ruled by strongmen that we fund and equip to hold down the overwhelming number ignorant folks under their country’s banner.  Personally I don’t see a need for democracy.  I see a much bigger need for us to make it clear that you may love Bin Laden in your hearts but if you support him with your wallets, or worse, we will send folks to visit that will remove you from the equation for the rest of your life.  Enough of this pandering to Islam.

For instance it has come out that there is a fight inside of the Pentagon between an Islamic nutjob Hasham Islam who is the “right-hand” man for the Assistant Sec of Defense, you cannot make this stuff up, and the primary analyst responsible for defining Islamic Extremism, Stephen Coughlin.

Who will be our leader? None of the established candidates seem to understand the war that drove us underground.

This essay by Mark Steyn seems to be directed right to my family. No doubt that I have been fighting all along. But now my wife is awakening. She is alarmed by the rush to madness that seems to be driving our society.

Well, it takes two to have a cold civil war. The right must be doing some of this stuff, too, surely? Up to a point. But for the most part they either go along, or secede from the system — they home-school, turn to talk radio and the Internet, read Christian publishers’ books that shift millions of copies without ever showing up on a New York Times bestsellers list. The established institutions of the state remain under the monolithic control of forces that ceaselessly applaud themselves for being terrifically iconoclastic: The ‘cold civil war’ in the U.S. | Macleans.ca - Culture - Media

Earlier he stated:

The grade schools no longer teach American history as any kind of coherent narrative. “Paint me warts and all,” Oliver Cromwell instructed his portraitist. But in public education, American children paint only the warts — slavery, the ill-treatment of Native Americans, the pollution of the environment, more slavery …  There are attempts to put a positive spin on things — the Iroquois stewardship of the environment, Rosa Parks’ courage on the bus — but, cumulatively, heroism comes to be defined as opposition to that towering Mount Wartmore of dead white males.

My children understand the heroism it took to create this country and they understand why it is so different from other nations. They are skeptical of the Government, a proper attitude no matter what some “compassionate so-called conservatives” believe, while respecting those who stand between us and the worst the world has to offer.

Our children understand the war, both the internal war which is defined by the lunacy of 9/11 Truthers and the external war that is driven by Islam. Naturally given their ages 10, 6 and 4 they don’t all have the same level of understanding but they all understand that there are soldiers away from their families fighting the bad guys, making us safe.

Homeschooling while terribly difficult is the least we can do to prepare our children for the madness they will face because of the divide between the left and right. I consider it my way of making up for my failure to win or at least not lose the fight against the left.

The right, perhaps not understanding that the left meant to dismantle the system, not to slightly modify it, played by a set of rules that allowed the left to rack up win after win. The right compromised with the left, perhaps imagining that the left would return the favor. Instead what happened was the noose got ever tighter and there was never any attempt to loosen it. The left did not forsake one single goal while the right compromised on everything. My fear is that we have gone past a point of return and that all that remains is for the left and right to have a civil war. Which I believe will move from the current Cold Civil War to Hot Civil War more quickly than anyone imagines.

Perhaps there is still time to prevent a descent into a hot civil war. But we need a leader on the right who is willing to fight for principals and none have appeared. Without such a leader we will find ourselves comprising the nation into a corner from which only a fight will extract us.

The difference between the left and the right all this time has come down to this: The left are the children breaking the system because they have hated the control and the right have been trying to not allow them to break it all at once. We need to stop believing they intend anything other than breaking the system. If the right existed in a socialist system we would be the children breaking the system…and the left would be the ones attempting to preserve it.
