Here is a snapshot of the last throes of the British Pound as the financial crisis continues…yes continues to wind to it’s terribly gory conclusion. Rumors are flying that tomorrow Germany will announce that they are dropping the Euro as a currency and returning to the Deutschmark. We will see if that rumor plays out. Different large European gold and silver supply houses are shutting down sales because large scale panic buying of both has depleted their supply. Welcome to the new normal where gold looks sensible and everything else is a suckers bet.

With Obama’s apparent strategy leaning towards exploring every single way to collapse the United States, it isn’t a surprise that we are bailing out Europe. Ah, all the wonderful leftists love to crow about this or that European fashion, ridiculous pensions, life time employment, huge bureaucracies, nanny state, check, check, check, check and check, leftists in the US want all of that! Don’t worry though because it is the rare conservative indeed who will speak out against the “safety net” indeed finding a so-called right wing politician who will admit forthrightly that he intends to cut spending is akin to finding a leftist questioning the idea that someone’s “needs” trumps my freedom. (This makes Conservative NJ Governor Chris Christie a real up and comer and Ron Paul a saint) We are going straight to hell and the goddamn hand basket is in flames! Anyways Zero Hedge as usual is all the way around the story. Really if you aren’t reading Zero Hedge, The Market Ticker ®, Financial Armageddon, Calculated Risk, Dollar Collapse and a few others then all of what is happening is a big ass shock to you. Being surprised is only fun for your birthday.

Just so we are clear about what is bothering many regular citizens in this country. In my business if something doesn’t work I don’t continue to throw money at it. Used to be that we could tell who the Republicans and Democrats were by where they stood on throwing money towards problems. Read the snippet below and try to apply that same reasoning to the problem and you will probably guess this buffoon is a Democrat…you would be wrong.

I asked, “Well what is going to happen to those people we can’t reeducate, that are diehard capitalists?” And the reply was that they’d have to be eliminated. And when I pursued this further, they estimated they would have to eliminate 25 million people in these reeducation centers. And when I say “eliminate,” I mean “kill.” Twenty-five million people. I want you to imagine sitting in a room with 25 people, most of which have graduate degrees, from Columbia and other well-known educational centers, and hear them figuring out the logistics for the elimination of 25 million people. And they were dead serious.
Critical update: Zero Hedge thrives on its proactive readers, yet I never expected a barrage of information such as the one I received since posting this. In the hundreds of emails received over the past several hours, much of it from current industry insiders, a substantial portion is likely actionable, and upon further refinement, enforceable.
Zero Hedge will filter the data and forward our work product directly to appropriate Attorney General offices and local FBI branch offices. In retrospect, approaching the SEC and FINRA is futile, as they are both as much an integral part of the system as the perpetrators they are supposed to protect against. We’re slowly learning that fact. And we are very, very pissed off.

Well Obama’s Department of Homeland Security is going to list Gov. Perry as a Right Wing Extremist…Welcome to the Party Rick! We should start a political party called Right Wing Extremists…heh.
AUSTIN – Gov. Rick Perry today joined state Rep. Brandon Creighton and sponsors of House Concurrent Resolution (HCR) 50 in support of states’ rights under the 10th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. “I believe that our federal government has become oppressive in its size, its intrusion into the lives of our citizens, and its interference with the affairs of our state,” Gov. Perry said. “That is why I am here today to express my unwavering support for efforts all across our country to reaffirm the states’ rights affirmed by the Tenth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. I believe that returning to the letter and spirit of the U.S. Constitution and its essential 10th Amendment will free our state from undue regulations, and ultimately strengthen our Union.” A number of recent federal proposals are not within the scope of the federal government’s constitutionally designated powers and impede the states’ right to govern themselves. HCR 50 affirms that Texas claims sovereignty under the 10th Amendment over all powers not otherwise granted to the federal government. It also designates that all compulsory federal legislation that requires states to comply under threat of civil or criminal penalties, or that requires states to pass legislation or lose federal funding, be prohibited or repealed. HCR 50 is authored by Representatives Brandon Creighton, Leo Berman, Bryan Hughes, Dan Gattis and Ryan Guillen. That problem is that conservatives, who are the heart and soul of the Republican Party, no longer believe that the GOP has their best interests at heart. And, as always: Why do we do this when you know I am not a terrorist, and you know I know you know I am not a terrorist? Why this costly and harassing kabuki when we both know the facts, and would agree that all this harassment is the government’s way of showing “fairness,” of showing that it will equally humiliate anyone in order to show its high-mindedness and sense of justice? What is simply pitiful about these facts is that until we address them as a society we will never correct the issue and blacks will continue living in the most dangerous sorts of conditions in this country. Blacks are 7 times more likely to die of murder. Let that settle in the next time you are feeling a little bit antsy in a situation. Some say that McCain’s strongest point is his desire to take the war to the enemy. But to me Bush’s weakest point was the fact that he never properly identified his enemy. Neither has McCain.
Mitt on the otherhand has indeed identified Global Jihadism as the enemy and he did it a long time ago. When I heard him speak in Baton Rouge near the beginning of the race he was talking about Global Jihadism. Don’t we want someone who will take the battle to the enemy instead of reacting to the enemy? I do.

Course his two dead daughters might lead one to believe that he is. After all killing daughters seems to be becoming quite the sport among the fundamentalists Muslims. What exactly drives a culture to sanction family’s killing their daughters, sisters and wives? How do we understand a culture that does not bury this sort of behavior under a cloud of condemnation? Exactly how does a culture like this ever move out of the middle ages? How arrogant are we to believe we can create Democratic Republics from folks like these? The central tenet of Democratic Republics is equality. Are daughters, sisters and wives equal in a culture that condones their murder?

Well, it takes two to have a cold civil war. The right must be doing some of this stuff, too, surely? Up to a point. But for the most part they either go along, or secede from the system — they home-school, turn to talk radio and the Internet, read Christian publishers’ books that shift millions of copies without ever showing up on a New York Times bestsellers list. The established institutions of the state remain under the monolithic control of forces that ceaselessly applaud themselves for being terrifically iconoclastic: The ‘cold civil war’ in the U.S. | Macleans.ca – Culture – Media
